What to know before you go:

Welcome back to the movies! Before you head to your next movie, please review the following health and safety measures that have been put in place.

Welcome back to the movies! As our locations open, the safety of our team members and guests is our number one priority.
If you are ready for a movie outing, please read our health and safety measures below that have put in place to ensure your moviegoing experience is a fun and safe one.
We’re continuing to update protocols based on the latest government recommendations. Here’s what to expect when you visit:

Limited Seating

Auditorium capacity will be limited to ensure a 2-metre distance between groups. At theatres with reserved seating, we will be blocking seats online so groups do not book next to each other.

Distance between Groups
For reserved seating auditoriums, we have left space between groups. All available seats will be physically distanced from other groups.
Employee Screening
All employees must pass a health screening prior to each shift. Employees will be required to wear a facemask or shield for the duration of their shift.
Increased Cleaning
Showtimes are staggered with longer intermissions so we can disinfect seats after every showtime. We have increased cleaning procedures and dedicated staff members focused on the task. Hand sanitizer is also available for guests.
Contact Tracing
Guests must purchase tickets online with a valid email, or provide a name and phone number at the theatre for the purposes of contact tracing per the Yellow (Prevent) Covid-19 Framework. For guests visiting us at locations in the Red Covid-19 Framework each person in a party will be required to provide contact information.

For the safety of our team members and guests, we ask that you:
Stay Home if You Feel Sick
Please do not attend Imagine Cinemas if you feel sick, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
Wear A Mask
Please wear your mask in all theatre areas such as the lobby, washrooms, concession, auditorium and as you exit the theatre. Once you’re in your seat you are welcome to remove your mask for the purpose of enjoying food or beverage.
Purchase Tickets Online
At this time tickets will not be available on site. Please reserve your tickets in advance at imaginecinemas.com.
Use Contactless Payment Methods
At this time cash will not be accepted. Please use contactless payment methods such as Debit, Credit or Gift Cards instead.
Follow Posted Signs & Physical Distancing Markings
For the safety of our team members and other guests, please follow all signs and physical distancing markings posted at the theatre.
Sanitize Your Hands
Please sanitize your hands at the provided stations.
Contact Tracing
Guests must purchase tickets online with a valid email, or provide a name and phone number at the theatre for the purposes of contact tracing per the Yellow (Prevent) Covid-19 Framework.
Please refrain from arriving more than 15 minutes in advance.

I have a Pass, Admit One, or Access 2. How do I redeem it?

Imagine Cinemas is now requiring that all passes be redeemed over the phone at least 24 hours before the start of your desired performance showtime. Passes that need to be redeemed over the phone are:

  • Courtesy Passes (Yellow / Orange)
  • Premiere Passes (Blue)
  • Two for Ones (Purple)
  • Admit Ones (Blue / Purple)
  • Access 2’s
  • CNIB’s
  • Under 3
  • Local’s Deal (Whistler Only)

Our suggestion to ensure you can get through to our locations is to email the theatre directly (info can be found on our “Contact Us” page) with your phone number and your desired performance time. Our manager will give you a call at their earliest convenience to process your tickets.

Once on the phone, our managers will ask for the type of pass that you have and if you require additional tickets. You’ll be required to provide your name and email address. If there is a surcharge in addition to your passes, you’ll be required to provide a credit card number on the phone in order for us to process your transaction.

Once on-site, you’ll proceed to the manager scanning all tickets and provide your name and the passes you redeemed over the phone in order to be granted access to the theatre. Failure to provide the required passes will result in your ticket purchase being null and void, so make sure you don’t forget to bring them!

If you’re a guest trying to redeem an Access 2 or Admit One, we just ask that you present your Access 2 or CNIB ID card for validation.

My Courtesy Pass, Premiere Pass, or 2-for-1 expired during the time you were closed. What do I do?

Passes that expired during our closure have been extended until December 31st, 2020.

Why are you only selling tickets online?

Online ticketing will also help us coordinate with government bodies to aid in contact tracing. By ensuring each guest has provided an email address, we can alert you and officials of potential exposure to a COVID-positive guest should that scenario occur.

Do I have to print my tickets?

Don’t worry about printing your online confirmation, you can simply pull it up on your mobile device and we’ll scan it right from your device!

Are masks required?

Imagine Cinemas will require all staff and all guests to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose. Masks cannot be equipped with an exhale valve that would push unfiltered exhalation particles into the environment. If a guest cannot wear a mask due to medical or religious reasons, they must wear a Face Shield in lieu of a mask.

Masks and/or Face Shields must be worn at all times except when a guest is sitting in their designated seat and consuming food or beverage.

If a guest over the age of 3 years old arrives on the premises without a mask and/or Face Shield, they will be asked to leave; no exceptions.
