To our Valued Guests,

We continue to believe that the health and safety of our team members and patrons is of utmost importance.  We are in very unusual times and need to take unusual measures to keep our community safe.

As such, we have decided to close our theatres effective immediately.  We will re-open when it is safe to do so.

We look forward to a time in the near future where we can all enjoy the love of movies together.

Dear Valued Guests,

We continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 and make adjustments to our business processes as necessary.

THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS AND TEAMMATES CONTINUES TO BE OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY

We have been in regular communication with all of our teams across our network about following the protocols that support everyone’s health and wellbeing:

  • Reinforcing standards and operating procedures for food safety and personal hygiene
  • Continual cleaning/sanitizing of all areas, specifically high touchpoints in our lobby, concession and theatre spaces including touchpads, kiosks, self-service areas, seats, hand railings, etc.

We are following the guidance of the Federal and Ontario governments and health authorities.

In addition, we have decided to implement some Social Distancing protocols within our theatres to provide distance between guests that are unknown to each other.

As of Saturday, March 14, we will be reducing available seating capacity in each of our auditoriums by 50%. To ensure that our guests can distance themselves from others, we are TEMPORARILY removing our reserved seating option and reverting back to OPEN SEATING – you will select your seats when you get to the theatre.  This will allow groups of people coming together to still be able to sit together (but away from people that they don’t know).  Please note that this is a precautionary measure that we are implementing on our own and has not been sanctioned by any governing body.  Please be aware that there is still no need to rush to the theatre as there will be plenty of seating to choose from.

We hope that you appreciate the reason for this decision and we will return to reserved seating when we feel that it is in the best interest of our guests to do so.

As Canada is still considered “low risk” for the Coronavirus, these measures are precautionary but we are taking steps to be proactive.

We appreciate your patronage and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure the safety of our guests and theatre teams.

To our Valued and Loyal Customers,

Imagine Cinemas continues to closely monitor the quickly evolving impact of COVID-19 in Canada and specifically in the areas in which we operate our theatres.  As of today’s date, the Public Health Agency of Canada has said that the risk remains low in Canada, although the situation continues to change hourly.

As always, we operate with the safety and well-being of our guests and employees as our priority.  As such, we wanted to share some of the increased protocols that we have implemented that are in line with the recommendations of Health Canada:

Increased the frequency with which we clean and sanitize the touchpoints at our theatres (self-service areas, ticketing kiosks, keypads, door handles, railings, etc.)
Increased communications with our guests, suppliers and employees about health and safety measures.
Specific protocol for employees returning from abroad.

We would ask that guests that are feeling unwell and/or have any symptoms of cold or flu refrain from visiting our theatres as we aim to provide a safe space for our guests to escape for a few hours to enjoy the magic of movies.

We will continue to monitor this situation and will endeavour to provide updates as needed.  For updated information about the status of Coronavirus in Canada, please visit Canada’s Public Health website.

We thank you for continuing to support Imagine Cinemas and we hope to see you soon!
